- Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What are your
aprons made of?
A: Almost all of the aprons
are 100% cotton. Some are a cotton-polyester blend, typically 85% cotton, 15%
polyester. If you are allergic to a certain fabric, please let us know and we
will make sure the apron you are interested in does not contain the allergen
you are concerned about.
Q: Do you have a printed catalog?
A: Unfortunately not. Our
aprons are made by hand, generally in small quantities from fabrics that can
be difficult to acquire. As a result, our inventory of barbecue and cobbler
aprons changes on an almost daily basis, making it impossible for us to maintain
a printed catalog that accurately reflects our inventory. The most accurate
source of information on our current stock of aprons will always be online.
If you are reluctant to order online, we are happy to take phone
or fax orders.
Q: Do you make custom aprons?
A: At this time, we are not
able to make custom aprons. (Sorry.) This includes both custom designs and custom
sizes. We are currently working at maximum capacity making the standard sizes
and styles of aprons. Custom alterations, unfortunately, take much longer to
produce, and would be prohibitively expensive to the customer.
Q: Do you do monogramming or embroidery?
A: We hope to add monogramming
and embroidery of names and logos to our list of services, but we are not there
yet. As an intermediate step, we will soon be posting a list of reliable embroiderers
who can create logos and custom embroidered images for those who wish to use
our aprons but would like to have them embroidered.
Q: Do you offer wholesale or volume
discounts on aprons?
A: Unfortunately not. We can
offer wholesale discounts on many of our items, such as photo
collage mats which we produce in large quantities. However, the aprons must
be made one-at-a-time, and we allow ourselves such a modest margin already that
volume or wholesale discounts are not feasable.
Q: I am a plus-size person, will
your aprons fit me?
A: Probably. Our aprons will
fit out to a 52" waist, or more, and work fine for people
up to 6'5" or taller. Those concerned with waist size are
better served with the barbecue / chef style apron, while those
concerned with bust size will find more coverage in the cobbler
style apron. If you find that the apron does not fit, you can
return it within 30 days to receive
a refund or store credit.
Q: I am a very petite person,
will your aprons fit me?
A: Probably.
Our aprons will fit those 4'10" tall, perhaps shorter,
and will work fine with waist sizes as small as 22". If
you find that the apron does not fit, you can return
it within 30 days to receive a refund or store credit.

Q: Do you offer volume or wholesale
discounts?
A: Yes. Please feel free to contact
us and we can discuss your needs. Large quantities - into
the hundreds, or even thousands are available.

Q: Who is Homestead
Arts and Crafts?
A: To make
a long story short, we are just three
people - Rollie, Rulinda, and Robert Topping, based, in Prescott
Valley, Arizona. Rollie does the art, photo collage mats, frames,
and woodwork, Rulinda sews the aprons and tote bags (online
soon), and Robert does the clocks and runs the website - including
shipping and customer service.
Q: What methods
of payment do you accept?
A: Homestead
Arts and Crafts accepts Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, checks and
money orders. You can also pay by American Express, Discover,
and e-Checks by selecting the PayPal payment option.
Q: Is the checkout
secure?
A: Yes, very
secure. We use 128 bit ssl (secure socket layer ecryption) provided
by GeoTrust. Our secure checkout software sends your encryped
credit card information through a secure gateway to Bank of
America, who processes our payments. No one else will ever see
your information.
Q: Are you going
to sell my e-mail address and other contact information?
A: NO! We
do not disclose your contact information for any reason accept
to process transactions you authorize. See our complete
